We, in large part, do not understand. We believe we can choose to not be part of the panorama as if we can seclude ourselves from the grand scope of humanity because we feel we are special, better, above the rest of it. At some point, at some point soon, our reluctance to consider ourselves a part of it all will, like in any other part of nature, make us obsolete and unnecessary. The ground on which we so adamantly stand will be needed for something or someone more useful, and the pride with which we’ve made ourselves so important will mean nothing to anyone.

Great. Today was already shitty
