I don’t think it’s absurd to consider that maybe our hardline definitions of male and female are precisely the cause of people feeling that they don’t belong to either/or. Honestly, given the current state of humanity and our perceptions of one another, who would even want to be considered a person at all at this point.
One thing more powerful than our ability to convince ourselves that we understand is our ignorance of that which we believe to understand. Will we ever stop using definite terms to describe indefinite things?
