There’s a popular theory that we are living in a civilized society. I think there are a lot of holes in that theory. They’re bullet holes. Humanity is a staggering and tragically sad disappointment. The news is another knot in the throat of anyone with any compassion.
There’s nothing civil about our civilization.

Hello Joe, I apologise for using your title “thoughts and other Absurdities” in a couple of my blogs, guess I missed you and my tiny brain grabbed it. I will not use it again. Hope you had a nice Labor Day. Not sure any of us did, but the thought is the same. The future is looking undecided for us as every one is hell bent on destroying our best and brightest. We don’t need thoughts and prayers, we need Action and thoughtful progress towards talking instead of bullets!

I appreciate the apology. But from one writer to another, I would also appreciate if you’d change the names of the blog posts. Thought and Other Absurdities is not only the name of my blog, but it’s also the name of a book I published and my podcast. Obviously, I am not going to try to enforce that in any way, I would just appreciate it.
