Modern thought would have us label Nelson Mandela a virtue-signaling narcissist. Do you remember when virtue signaling was just called kindness and standing up for people? Now we tell each other to stop being offended for other people. Really? Jeez, I bet there are a lot of bullied, abused, and dead people throughout history who wish(ed) people were more offended for them sooner. I would imagine the people in the concentration and internment camps would’ve hoped more people were offended for them a hell of a lot sooner. It would probably be pretty helpful now if more people were virtue-signaling to stop school shootings.
You can drown in a mere teaspoon of water, but I don’t think any of us are in any danger of drowning in the depths of humanity’s character. It’s hardly enough to call it a drop.
“Kill them with kindness” is now “kill those with kindness.”
