I have an overwhelming suspicion that at the end of our lives—at the end of existence as a whole, we’ll all think that above all the mortal pursuits on which we so desperately and painstakingly focused, we will wish we’d focused instead on fucking off and fucking around. When I truly take the time to consider everything, I can’t think of anything more important or enjoyable than taking my kid to the movies or an amusement park and laughing.
