The concept of time was invented to keep people from thinking of it as what it truly is—life. It’s so that we allow it to be more easily taken from us—so that we have less of a connection to its significance—to ours. Giving someone your time-allowing them to waste it, obligating it to someone else for fractions of its true worth feels less dramatic when you’re not immediately associating it with your finite existence. It’s only a measure of the uncertain amount of life you have left. Our priorities would be less subvertible—our lives less likely to be handed over like casino chips to the house had we continued calling time our being and understanding the invaluable nature of its worth. Time is not precious. Your life is.
If you don’t feel this way, it’s probably because your life isn’t being wasted as much by people who have no appreciation for its value, or you’re completely oblivious.

Also, my daughter has made it into the next round of the Stan Lee Super Kid Contest. Voting continues until Nov. 19. You can cast one free vote a day. She’s currently in 3rd, so we need as many new voters and votes as we can give her. This could be huge for her. The prize is $25,000, VIP passes to LA Comic Con, and she’ll get to star in her own Marvel Comic Book! I think i want this more for her than anything I’ve ever wanted for myself, so I hope you’ll all vote for her. Click the button or image below to vote for Ari, and share it with anyone you think might vote too. Thanks so much to all of you who have been voting every day this far. I can’t tell you how much our family appreciates it.
