Some people have completely detached themselves from reality, and it fascinates me.
I find it interesting that we see disconnecting from reality as any sort of respite or solution when one of our biggest problems is that so many of us are, in fact, wildly disconnected from reality. I wonder if escaping it is really of any benefit. Is it possible that some of this stress is self-inflicted? Maybe some of us are trying to worry enough to make up for all of those who we feel aren’t worrying enough or at all. Unfortunately, that’s not really possible, and worrying for ourselves is probably already more than many of us are even capable of at this point.
